Vacation - A time to catch up on reading material
So,
I'm on vacation this week in CapeCod away from the world of Microsoft and as I usually do I tend to bring a number of books to read (in this case on to read on the beach :-) Anyway, the first book I'm tearing into is, "The world is flat". I actually like this book quite a bit (I'm still fairly early into) but I think that a lot of the content is right on the money. This is particularly true in the way it describes the collaboration space. Although I think it's premature for me to write up any detailed analysis on how the books content relates to the engineering collaboration space I believe it's safe to say that it's very easy to see how Thomas's analysis supports many of the value props behind PLM and collaboration technologies such as Sharepoint. Watch this space for more analysis as I complete the book.
