Publishing Exchange 2007 may fail after installing the update "Update for Publishing Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 for ISA Server 2006"
After installing the update "Update for Publishing Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 for ISA Server 2006" (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925403/en-us ), publishing Exchange 2007 using the Exchange RPC Server protocol may fail. Clients may be able to connect, but will not receive notifications for new messages. As a workaround, do the following:
1. In ISA Server Management, click the Firewall Policy node.
2. On the Toolbox tab, click Protocols.
3. Click to expand Mail, and then double-click Exchange RPC Server.
4. On the Interfaces tab, click Add.
5. In Add/Edit Interfaces, do the following:
· In Interface UUID, type {5261574a-4572-206e-b268-6b199213b4e4}
· In Interface Name, specify a name for the interface.
· In Interface Publishing Port, leave the default setting Publish a Dynamically Assigned Port.
6. Apply the changes.
