The problem is solved. MS Firewall Client for ISA Server v 4.0 conflicts with Vista!!! My application uses Remoting.net technique by TCP channel. An exception is issued when my client calls to the server: >The exception ArgumentNullException arises in >system function CopyToManaged because of >null "source" argument. For coding, I took the simplest Remoting sample from the Microsoft site: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms973857.aspx And it crashes under Vista if Firewall Client for ISA Server is present. (Under XP no problem remoting). After I had uninstalled Firewall Client from my Vista PC the problem was gone. Does Microsoft know about this issue? Details on the exception follow:
System.ArgumentNullException was unhandled Message="Значение не может быть неопределенным.rnИмя параметра: source" Source="mscorlib" ParamName="source" StackTrace: в System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.CopyToManaged(IntPtr source, Object destination, Int32 startIndex, Int32 length) в System.Net.Sockets.AcceptOverlappedAsyncResult.PostCompletion(Int32 numBytes) в System.Net.Sockets.BaseOverlappedAsyncResult.CompletionPortCallback(UInt32 errorCode, UInt32 numBytes, NativeOverlapped* nativeOverlapped) в System.Threading._IOCompletionCallback.PerformIOCompletionCallback(UInt32 errorCode, UInt32 numBytes, NativeOverlapped* pOVERLAP)

My PC is running Windows Vista Business edition, MS Office 2003, client of ISA 2000 Server and I also installed the ISA client for Vista. My problem is my Outlook 2003 (SMTP and POP3) can’t connect to the internet. I try to update all Windows Vista updates, MS Office 2003 updates and ISA 2000 Server updates and also the new ISA client for Vista but unfortunately still my Outlook looks like my ISA 2000 Server can’t accept. However no problem with my browser I can connect to the internet. With my other PC which is running XP and same configuration except the ISA client installed based on the previous ISA 2000 version it’s all normal and physically connected. I'm now still continuing to search to solve this problem but only this ISA client for Vista I found out but after I install still I can’t connect. I hope you can give solution about this matter ... anybody have solution to this matter please e-mail at : romeltag@hotmail.com or romel_tagaylo@yahoo.com Thank you. Romel J. TagayloAnonymous
