Configuring Firefox for Fiddler2 on Vista
Hi…
if you use Fiddler2 (see https://www.fiddler2.com/Fiddler2/) which is a very cool web debugging tool you will find that Firefox might not work well with it. Then do the following:
1. Locate the following directory c:\users\[Your Name]\Documents\Fiddler2\Scripts. In there you will find a script file called BrowserPAC.js. Check if this is true and remember the path. [Your name] is your account name.
2. Within Firefox go to Options in the Tools menu. It opens a window, click on the connection setting in there (in German Extras – Einstellungen, and Einstellungen…)
3. Another window opens and you find at the bottom the line to enter the automatic Proxy configutation. Enter here “file://C:/users/[Your Name]/Documents/Fiddler2/Scripts/BrowserPAC.js” with whatever path was valid in your case for step one.
4. Press ok on the open windows and reload website…voila.
