Live from MEDC 2005 II - Windows Mobile 5.0

Hello, again!

The keynote was great with some very cool demos.  You can watch the video here.  During the keynote, Bill announced Windows Mobile 5.0.

Windows Mobile 5.0 is great.  NetCF v1 SP3 is installed in ROM.  You can use Visual Studio 2005 Beta 2 to target both NetCF v1 SP3 and NetCF v2 Beta 2 (installs into RAM).  I'm really excited to see what kinds of cool applications get written for this new platform.

Since getting here, yesterday, I've met some great people and look forward to meeting even more at Ask the Experts and during the remainder of the conference.  I hope to see many of you there and at my session on Thursday afternoon.

Take care!

As I understand, MS simply did not finish NETCFv2 by the WM2005 release and included in WM2005 NETCFv1 instead. I hope that WM2005 SE will natively support NETCFv2.
