TechReady stuff...
Last week was TechReady3 in Seattle for a few Microsoft colleagues and I (5000+ I think), it’s the Microsoft technical communities internal TechEd conference. Over the next few weeks or months you should start to see some of the announcements and details on what we learnt and were shown mentioned.
A few key areas that got my attention were the Softricty sessions, also the new clustering features in Windows “Longhorn” Server (lots of great stuff), as well as Windows Virtualization (no surprise there if you read this blog regularly). My main area of interest was Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM), Dugie has a update on the beta availability. I managed to attend the SCVMM general session as well as persuade the product team for a private demo (thanks guys) on campus [Redmond]. However I can’t talk about what I saw, except to say SCVMM looks fantastic and I can’t wait to get my hands on the beta....test server is prepped and ready to go!
