Introduction: Riki June
Gidday, I'm a dev on the Drivers team, working under Kurt Kennett. I have taken ownership of Keyboard and CEPC (for CE and Mobile), although I'm only slowly getting up to speed on the latter.
Prior to working at Microsoft I was a dev at EmbeddedFusion, and was lucky enough to work alongside Steve Mallet and Michel Verhagen. At EmbededFusion I worked on a MIPS board, then moved onto an ARM board, and finally an ARM/XSCALE board (The F200). I worked on a good range of things CE there, from bootloaders, to drivers, to OAL, to using soldering irons and oscilloscopes.
Prior to EmbeddedFusion I worked at Sprite Software as a dev for their Windows Mobile products. I spent a good amount of time on Pocketmon and getting Sprite Backup for Smartphone v1.0 up and running.
In my spare time;
I’ve written the client side of an app that allowed users to subscribe to channels and get live updates of various content types on their WM Smartphone. It was launched on Singtel by Pieter Knook.
I’ve written a couple Smartphone apps here: https://homepages.inspire.net.nz/~gambit/ and https://homepages.inspire.net.nz/~gambit/AbstractStart/
I’ve also put together the odd post in the public newsgroups, mostly in Microsoft.public.smartphone.developer, which landed me an MVP award.
I moved over to Seattle from Auckland, New Zealand in October. On weekends you'll find me exploring Seattle, be it shopping, good coffee, or good food.
