The Mariposa botnet compromised millions of computer systems across the globe, resulting in the mass theft of online credentials and the subsequent arrest of its controllers. DefenceIntelligence was key in the discovery and ultimate takedown of the botnet which may be argued as the largest ever recorded. Matt Sully and Matt Thompson from DefenceIntelligence will take you through the "life story" of Mariposa including an analysis of the malware behind the botnet and the journey of what goes into combatting online crime.After the presentation we'll have plenty of time for Q&A, as well as our usual discussion of current topics, threats, and tools. You are encouraged to ask questions.
