    Right, but who would want to? .Net Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 is rated as a critical security update. There is a specialized version of this service pack with a label saying that it targets Windows Server 2003. When trying to install it, either from Windows Update or by searching Microsoft's general downloads, it correctly diagnoses its own failure to install. The installer tries to dereference a null pointer. Sometimes it automatically offers to send failure reports to Microsoft and I've sent a few. After more than 2 weeks, it's still the same. Why would any customer want to run clusters of an OS with known insecurities which cannot even be patched?
