Silverlight not working correctly on Mac osx Safari. I hope you know this. This issue caused my company to think twice about using Silverlight. I use www.silverlight.net and the showcase as a test. Very buggy. Also, Safari on Windows is not supported.

Brad, Perfecdt timing! Over the next few weeks, I'll be creataing a six chapter How Do I series entitled "An introduction to Programming Silverlight 1.0" that will walk the user through downloading and installing Silverlight, and will show shapes, brushes, transformations, simple animations, etc. I can't think of a better kick off than your web cast. We didn't coordinate it, but we won't tell anyone! :-)
