Let the blogging begin...
My name is Bob Familiar. I am an Architect Evangelist working for Microsoft out of our Boston, MA office. I've been designing and developing solutions on the Microsoft platform since 1989 and working in the software industry for just over 21 years.
I am a member of the Developer & Platform Evangelism Team that covers the East Region of the United States. I work with an incredibly talented team of individuals. This includes William Zentmayer (Philadelphia), John McCllelland (Pittsburgh), Chad Brooks (Atlanta), Lewis Curtis (Atlanta) and Jeff Barnes (Miami). Together we are responsible for arcStream, a technical event series for architects.
arcStream builds on the great content delivered through MSDN and Skyscrapr by offering architects in the east region a series of events on a topic of interest as well as face to face networking opportunities. In September and October we will be delivering a series of events on Service Oriented Architecture, in November and December we will be focusing on User Experience and Office Business Application Architecture and in January and February we will be delving into the Web 2.0 architecture. This pattern of events will continue throughout the coming months. I will be writing here about the arcStream activities and the various architectures and solution stacks discussed as the program evolves.
If you want more information on the various events that are being offered in your area, check out the arcStream web site.
If you are a member of the architect community here in the east region, I cordially invite you to jump into the arcStream. -bob
