Microsoft App-V Federated Search Connector For Windows 7
If you've been playing around with the new Windows 7 beta then you may already be familiar with a new feature in the product called Federated Search. If not, Federated Search allows you to initiate searches against remote repositories and have the results displayed right there within Windows Explorer. It's really a pretty cool new feature and to show you just how cool it is, Justin Zarb over on the Virtual World blog actually built a custom Federated Search connector for The Virtual World Blog, The App-V blog and Microsoft TechNet. I don't want to steal all of his thunder so you'll have to check out his post for all the details, but if you're lucky enough to be running Windows 7 then this is definitely something you'll want to see.
You can view Justin's post on his Federated Search connector here:
Enjoy!
