The Innovative Education Forum is a part of the Innovative Teachers program, a global community for educators sponsored by Microsoft Partners in Learning. The Innovative Teachers program is built on the understanding that informed, empowered teachers are at the heart of meaningful and effective teaching and learning. By inspiring and learning from each other, educators around the world are transforming the way their students to learn and engage with the world around them.

The 2010 U.S. Innovative Education Forum will recognize outstanding teaching teams (two educators per team) that implement 21^st century skills into student learning projects. The theme for the 2010 U.S. IEF is Inspire More—Inspire more collaboration, Inspire more ways to build community, Inspire more technology-rich content. Projects should demonstrate innovative use of technology in teaching that inspires innovation in collaboration, community, exploration and service by educators with peers and for students while developing 21^st century skills.

Teams will be selected via an application process to participate in the U.S. Innovative Education Forum on July 29-30, 2010 in Washington, DC. Deadline for application is June 10, 2010. The winning team, determined at the July event, will be invited to represent the U.S. at the Worldwide Innovative Education Forum in Cape Town, South Africa in October 2010. There is no fee to attend and travel expenses for both events are supported by Microsoft.
