Map Line Properties Dialog Box, Width Rules

Select General on the Map Layer Width Rules Properties dialog box to specify rules that control line width. These options apply to all lines on the layer and override options set on the Map Line Properties Dialog Box, General page.

To override the width of a specific embedded line, use options on the Map Embedded Line Properties Dialog Box, General page.

Options

  • Use default line width
    Select this option to use the line width specified for the layer.

  • Visualize data by using line width
    Select this option to vary the width of each line based on analytical data.

  • Data field
    Type a field or expression that represents the analytical data.

  • Minimum line width
    Specify the smallest width. The default value is 1pt.

  • Maximum line width
    Specify the largest width. The default value is 10pt.

  • Line width
    Specify a width. The default value is 3.75pt.
