Visual Studio Team Edition for Database Professionals delivers a market-shifting database development product designed to manage database change, improve software quality through database testing and bring the benefits of Visual Studio Team System and life cycle development to the database professional.  The full product download on MSDN is a full image only, so 2.9 GB or so, if you already own Visual Studio Team Suite, you can simply download the trial SKU (which is only 20MB) and install this on top of your Team Suite instance. The installer will detect that you have a full license instead of a trial license and do the right thing.

SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2 CTP (December 2006)

Microsoft released a public Community Technology Preview of SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2 (SP2) in December – this will be the LAST CTP for Service Pack 2. Applying this new customer collaboration model to service pack releases demonstrates our commitment to customer feedback and validation as an important aspect of a quality-focused development cycle. Also as part of this new model, we are introducing a separate release tree for any future SQL Server security fixes so that customers can take advantage of timely, targeted fixes that are streamlined for security specific updates.
