Branch Office Update for ISA Server 2004

I wanted to make you aware of a recent Microsoft announcement. Later this year Microsoft will be releasing a set of features as part of a Branch Office update for ISA Server 2004 SE and EE.

These updates enable the ability to cache software updates that use Background Intelligent Transfer Services (BITS) as well as provide additional caching performance enhancements via compression and Quality of Service (QoS) .

Microsoft Updates Caching works with any updates downloaded from Windows Server Update Services, Windows Update, and Microsoft Update
