Use Microsoft 365 Copilot in Viva Insights deep-dive reports

Deep-dive reports in Microsoft 365 Copilot in Viva Insights help you answer precise questions about organizational composition and give you access to detailed employee data mapped to HR attributes.
Report components
Report title. The title is based on your precise question and highlights the report's scope and context.
Data quality summary. Displays the total number of users based on the latest HR upload or the latest data pulled from Microsoft Entra ID. Indicates data quality issues when necessary. The data quality summary includes up to four key points:
AI-generated. Indicates that the response is generated by artificial intelligence.
Employee Count. Displays the number of users within the organization.
Data Last Updated. Shows the date of the last HR upload or indicates if the data is sourced from Microsoft Entra ID.
Data Source Opportunity Indicator (if applicable). Highlights any data issues such as low coverage or freshness. Learn more about data quality.
At a glance. The "At a Glance" section provides a summary of the report, including the precise question response. This summary helps you quickly understand the key insights from your query.
Visualization. The visualization component displays a count of measured employees through charts and graphs. You can interact with these visual elements to filter and explore specific data points.
Table. Lists employee information that you can search through and sort. The table is limited to 500 rows. Depending on the type of question answered, the table can display the following types of data:
Person Table. This table includes attributes such as Person Name, Hierarchy (Group), Level, Function Type, Manager (Yes or No), and Location.
Grouped Attribute Table with Headcount. A table with two or more columns that shows a grouping by specific attribute(s) along with the corresponding headcount.
Grouped Attribute Table with Metric Average. A table with two or more columns that displays a grouping by specific attribute(s) and the average of a particular metric.
