Tillåt icke-administratörsanvändare att installera skrivare på macOS

Som standard kräver installation av skrivare på macOS att användarna är administratörer. Den här standardinställningen styrs av principinställningarna i /etc/cups/cupsd.conf och kan ändras.

Om användarnas enheter hanteras av en MDM-lösning som Intune eller jamf kan du använda ett skript för att uppdatera filen och ta bort administratörsbehörigheter från auktoriseringsprincipen. Se exempelskriptet nedan.

Instruktioner

  1. <Limit> Uppdatera direktivet på rad 59 för att lägga till CUPS-Add-Modify-Printer. Den här taggen är standardåtkomstgruppen utan sats Require , så om du gör den här ändringen kan alla användare installera/ta bort/ändra skrivare.
  2. <Limit> Uppdatera direktivet på rad 75 för att ta bort CUPS-Add-Modify-Printer. Den här åtkomstgruppen kräver @SYSTEM behörigheter, så vi vill ta bort det kravet.

Exempelfil

Om du inte har ändrat cupsd.conf filen på andra sätt kan du kopiera/klistra in innehållet exakt. Annars fungerar det som en referens. Den ursprungliga filen finns också nedan, för jämförelse.
