Table Properties - Data Output Tab (Visual Studio Report Designer)
Use the Data Output tab of the Table Properties dialog box to define XML data output options for the table. Setting the values in this tab adds metadata to the client report definition (.rdlc) file that is used to render the report in XML. Because the XML rendering extension is only available in server reports, the data output properties that you specify will only be effective if you later convert the .rdlc file to the .rdl format. Options
- Element name
Type the name to use for the data element or attribute when it is exported to XML.
- Output
Indicates whether the item is included in the XML output.
- Auto
Choose this option to export the contents of the table.
- Yes
Choose this option to export the contents of the table.
- No
Choose this option to not export the contents of the table.
- Detail element name
Type the name to use for the data element for the instances of the group. Ignored if there is a grouping defined for details.
- Detail collection name
Type the name to use for the data element for the collection of all instances of the group.
- Detail element output
Indicates whether details are included in XML output.
- Yes
Choose this option to export the details.
- No
Choose this option to not export the details.
