'Usage

)
public:

)
member Alter :
        assemblyAlterMethod:AssemblyAlterOptions *
        primaryAssemblyServerPath:string -> unit
public function Alter(
    assemblyAlterMethod : AssemblyAlterOptions,
    primaryAssemblyServerPath : String
)

Parameters

  • primaryAssemblyServerPath
    Type: System.String
    A String value that specifies the server path (which can be a network share) of a single module assembly that contains a manifest.

Remarks

The Alter method updates any changes that have been made to the SqlAssembly object's properties since the SqlAssembly object was created or since the last Alter statement. The modifications are combined and sent to the instance of SQL Server in a single network trip to the instance of SQL Server.

SQL Server searches in the path for assemblies the referenced assembly depends on and that have not yet been installed. SQL Server accesses the indicated files directly and therefore needs to have sufficient access rights to complete this operation successfully.
