Ett TextDecoration objekt är en visuell utsmyckning som du kan lägga till i text. Det finns fyra typer av textdekorationer: understrykning, baslinje, genomstrykning och överstreck. I följande exempel visas platserna för textdekorationerna i förhållande till texten.

Om du vill lägga till en textdekoration i text skapar du ett TextDecoration objekt och ändrar dess egenskaper. Använd egenskapen Location för att ange var textdekorationen visas, till exempel understrykning. Använd egenskapen Pen för att ange utseendet på textdekorationen, till exempel en hel fyllning eller toningsfärg. Om du inte anger något värde för egenskapen Pen används dekorationerna som standard i samma färg som texten. När du har definierat ett TextDecoration objekt lägger du till det i den TextDecorations samlingen av det önskade textobjektet.

I följande exempel visas en textdekoration som har formats med en linjär toningsborste och en streckad penna.

Textdekoration med linjär gradientunderstrykning

Det Hyperlink-objektet är ett inline-flödesinnehållselement som gör att du kan innehålla hyperlänkar i flödesinnehållet. Som standard använder Hyperlink ett TextDecoration-objekt för att visa en understrykning. TextDecoration objekt kan vara prestandaintensiva för att instansiera, särskilt om du har många Hyperlink objekt. Om du använder Hyperlink element i stor utsträckning kanske du bara vill visa en understrykning när du utlöser en händelse, till exempel MouseEnter händelsen.

I följande exempel är understrykningen för länken "Min MSN" dynamisk – den visas bara när händelsen MouseEnter utlöses.
