Lists of 64-bit apps, drivers and hardware

Back after a long Labor Day weekend. Hope you used the long weekend to spend some "quality time" with families and friends!

But I also hope you have spent some time at your favorite computer store and checked out some cool 64-bit hardware - even bought some. Especially the 64-bit AMD stuff looks pretty affordable these days. But Intel is for sure picking up and in some cases even cheaper (like in comparable value for less money). So now you have your 64-bit gear at home and downloaded either XP Professional x64 or the x64 eval. version of Windows Server 2003. If you installed only the 32-bit OS, very good! You can stop reading now. But if you decided to give the 64-bit OS a try or don't know if your application is available for the 64-bit Windows platform, here are some links that might help you finding out more:
Microsoft

AMD

I know this list is far from complete. Share your favorite 64-bit links!

Is it possible to setup a Dual-Boot with XP (32) and XP64? I would like to try the 64bit, but I don't have the money for another machine. My current machine is a Athlon64 3500. I'd like to Dual-Boot it and see if I want to buy a 64bit license...

Absolutely. Dual boot is supported. Make sure you use a different partition to avoid overwriting folders like Program Files which contain 32-bit apps in 32-bit Windows BUT will contain 64-bit apps in 64-bit Windows.

One question: AMD has launched Turio Chips for laptops. Is it possible to runn WinXP64 on that laptops (for example HP nx6125)?

I want to use WinXP64 and now I'm looking for a new laptop.

    Thanks!

Victor - Windows XP Professional x64 Edition is fully compatible with Turion64. For my daily work I am using an Acer Ferrari 4000 laptop which has - other then the Ferrari 3400 - a Turion64 mobile processor. ALL the 64-bit drivers you need are available on the Acer websites in APAC and EMEA.

Sam - did you check if there is a BIOS upgrade available? I had a similar error with another 64-bit x64 system. The issue was a missing BIOS upgrade.
You should also check the 64-bit Microsoft newsgroups for a solution.
