Intel's Montecito dual-core Itanium arrives
Tomorrow we will find out if it worth the wait. Computerworld: "Intel does not expect to sell Montecito as a high-volume product. Its typical users are government researchers doing massive modeling projects such as global warming predictions." a.k.a. expensive.
BTW, we are still waiting on the prices for Itanium based systems to fall on Xeon level as promised a couple of years ago at IDF.
