Ferrari 4000 test drive (Part V)

Still no luck with the Broadcom driver. It seems to be a BCM4318 and there is currently no driver for 64-bit Windows. I tried to tweak the INF file for a 4320 w/o success L. And the AMD website is of no help either.

Next thing PowerDVD installation from the included restore CDs. Installation worked fine and my Star Wars DVD is already playing. Great stuff.

Acer eManager is on of the tools that ship with the laptop. Installs fine on 64-bit but none of the functions work…

NTI CD&DVD Maker is also included and installs flawless. Haven’t tried to use it yet.

Ferrari screensaver from the restore CD installs and works. The wallpaper software (similar to the one shipping with the 3400) installs but does not work even though the 32-bit VB runs.

How come that this machine has gotten the "Ddesigned for Microsoft Windows XP x64 Edition" logo if not all x64 device drivers are available?

I still have problem with 2 drivers for X64. One is the BCM2035, which I think is the bluetooth device. Where is the driver? The other is unknown, with the string NSC60001, which I think is the infrared?

Really hope someone can point to the right place.

Well, found out where the problem lies. I was installing Win 2003 Server Enterprise Edition. Somehow it does not detect the 2 devices. When I installed Win XP X64, all were recognised. Still figuring out why these devices were left out in the server version.
