Bootcamp on the new Mac

Rest assured, I will not - at least not now - write the 12,337th blog about how I installed Windows XP or Vista on a MacBook.

I was totally tempted to use Bootcamp before the box arrived. Even after I unpacked it, it briefly crossed my mind to scratch the disk and just install Windows. But since the first start of the Mac OS I felt like this might be my chance to learn something new, different or even better. So far I have not been disappointed and still discover new and exciting stuff every evening when I have some time to play with what is my SO's laptop. Don't get me wrong. I love Microsoft software! There is no doubt. But it is good to force yourself to see what else is out there.
Ok, I am not totally Microsoft-less on the MacBook. I installed Parallels to run XP; see below. And I use Entourage for my email and the other mac:Office products from Microsoft. BTW, this is a really great set of productivity tools and I like the UI and handling very much.

Of course I installed Parallels and Windows XP in a virtual machine. But merely out of curiosity and to have the experience running another virtual machine manager after Virtual PC, Virtual Server and VMware Player. Oh, and because I have seen the cool transition from window to full screen on a friend's MacBook Pro before. ;)
