Silverlight Streaming

One of the things I'm playing around with at the moment is Silverlight Streaming which gives you free streaming and application hosting for up to 4GB, allowing high-bandwidth distribution of your content. For example, you can use Expression Media to transcode a video to a Silverlight compliant format, then just upload to the Silverlight Streaming service. Easy! You can then inline the video in your blog, as shown below:

 

If you can see past the incredibly dull video I used (sorry!) it's a pretty cool way of hosting and streaming all kinds of Silverlight apps created using Expression. A good use would be a How-To video - I'll put one together on an Orcas feature when I get some time.
