The Excel and Access Services team is growing - we have job openings

The Excel/Access Services and Access teams have open test and PM positions for individuals who are smart and have passion for data applications. This is a great opportunity to have millions of people use your work every single day while working for one of the best teams at Microsoft (I'm not biased :-)). Additionally, the benefits are first rate. Nine years ago a recruiter called and asked if I was interested in working at Microsoft. Since that time, I have loved every minute of my experience. Working at Microsoft is fun if you enjoy huge challenges and working with brilliant people (I personally, just do my best to keep up).

If you need help getting your resume in top shape, my wife provides an affordable resume writing service. She understands the Microsoft vocabulary and how to highlight your experience for the job. (Sorry for the shameless plug but I have seen her do wonders on resumes--two of her clientswere hired by the Access team.)

If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, click the email button at the top of the page and send me a short email. I will put you in direct contact with our recruiter.

The benefits look great. Some of the MapPoint 2004 demographic data around the Microsoft campus looks promising (crime rate levels, median incomes). The one troubling part though was the people per county numbers and the cost of housing/living. I'm from a very rural area(50,000/county). I did some property lookups on realtor.com and whew! Does Microsoft offer housing plans?

I wish they had a housing plan--I would quit and see if I could get rehired :-). Typically the salaries are good enough that you can afford a reasonable location, especially if you don't mind a commute.
