WDDM CCD Test for Forced Projection

This automated test verifies that a video driver can perform forced projection on analog connection types.

If the test finds a connection type that is force projectable and no physical monitor is connected, the test simulates a monitor on this target and tries to set an active path on the target.

Running the test

Before you run the test, complete the test setup as described in the test requirements: Graphic Adapter or Chipset Testing Prerequisites.

In addition, this test requires at least one test target to be force projectable. Analog targets are marked force projectable.

Troubleshooting

For troubleshooting information, see Troubleshooting Device.Graphics Testing.

The test returns Skip if the driver is not Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM) (-whql not specified) or WDDM 1.1 (-whql specified).

The test returns Fail if one of the following conditions is true:

  • The target should be force projectable but is not set that way.

  • The target is marked force projectable but cannot simulate a monitor.

  • The target cannot set an active path on the simulated monitor.
