lineGetCurrentOperator (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

1/6/2010

Use the lineGetCurrentOperator function to retrieve the network operator on which the device is currently registered. This data is separate from the LINEOPERATORSTATUS structure for performance reasons.

Syntax

LONG WINAPI lineGetCurrentOperator(
  HLINE hLine,
  LPLINEOPERATOR lpCurrentOperator
);

Parameters

  • hLine
The line device handle. The line device handle must have been previously obtained by a call to lineOpen with the proper TAPI device ID specified and a device-specific extension version successfully negotiated with lineNegotiateExtVersion.
  • lpCurrentOperator
Points to a LINEOPERATOR structure, which reports the state of the operator settings. Use the lineGetRegisterStatus function to determine the registration status of the device.

Return Value

Returns zero if the function completes successfully, or a negative error number if an error occurs. The following are possible return values:

  • LINEERR_RESOURCEUNAVAIL
  • LINEERR_INVALLINEHANDLE
  • LINEERR_STRUCTURETOOSMALL
  • LINEERR_INVALPOINTER
  • LINEERR_UNINITIALIZED
  • LINEERR_NOMEM
  • LINEERR_OPERATIONUNAVAIL
  • LINEERR_OPERATIONFAILED

Remarks

This function is synchronous. No LINE_REPLY message is sent and the application can use the contents of the parameter structures immediately after this function returns. Not implemented for CDMA.

Note

The lineGetCurrentOperator function does not return the short string for the current operator. The long string for the current operator is returned for display purposes only. For operator selection, use the numeric ID instead.
