Wi-Fi Drivers (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

1/6/2010

The Wi-Fi driver typically consists of a single DLL and is provided by hardware manufacturers such as the OEM or chipset manufacturer.

To enable Wi-Fi, a NDIS-compliant driver must be present and loaded on the device. The driver can be in a lower power state, but at a minimum it must be loaded. In addition, the driver must be bound to the NDIS subsystem. If the driver is fully NDIS-compliant, then binding to the subsystem occurs automatically.

To disable Wi-Fi support, delete the NDIS-compliant Wi-Fi driver from the subsystem.
