Viewing Debug Zones (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

You can view the debug zones for a module or for a process using several different methods. In addition, you can change the debug zones you want to apply for a selected module or process.

To view debug zones for a module or process using Target Control Debugging

  1. Open the CE Target Control window.

  2. Use options from the zo command to specify per-process or per-module operations, and to specify the name of the process or module.

To view debug zones for a module or process using the Modules window

  1. From the Debug menu, select Windows, and then select Modules. The Modules Window opens.

  2. Right-click the Modules window and then choose Debug Zones from the shortcut menu.

    The Names box in the Debug Zones Dialog Box displays all processes and modules, and the Debug Zones box displays the debug zones for the module at the top of the list.

  3. In the Name box, select a module or process to display the associated debug zones.

    If you select a terminated process or a module that was previously unloaded, a message displays and the dialog box contents are refreshed.

  4. To choose particular debug zones to view, select or clear the check boxes in the Debug Zones dialog box to turn debug zones on or off and then choose Close.

    The changes take effect immediately.

To view debug zones for a module or process using the Processes window

  1. From the Debug menu, select Windows, and then select Processes. The Processes Window opens.

  2. Right-click the process name for which you want to view debug zones.

    The Names box in the Debug Zones Dialog Box displays all processes and modules, and the Debug Zones box displays the debug zones for the module at the top of the list.

  3. In the Name box, select a module or process to display the associated debug zones.

    If you select a terminated process or a module that was previously unloaded, a message displays and the dialog box contents are refreshed.

  4. Select or clear the check boxes in the Debug Zones dialog box to turn debug zones on or off and then choose Close.

    The changes take effect immediately.
