ICcServiceCB (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

1/5/2010

This interface provides methods that report status on asynchronous actions to a caller from any service. Clients implement this interface and call IConnectionPoint::Advise on the interface returned from the service.

The following steps show how a client can register a callback:

  1. Implement this interface on a class object.
  2. Get an ICcService interface from the target service.
  3. Find an IConnectionPointContainer using IUnknown::QueryInterface on the interface returned in step 2.
  4. Call IConnectionPointContainer::FindConnectionPoint with refiid == guid of the ICcServiceCB interface.
  5. Call IConnectionPoint::Advise to pass in the pointer to the IUnknown interface of the class object from step 1.
  6. After receiving all the status notifications, call IConnectionPoint::Unadvise with the cookie value from step 5.

Methods

The following tables show the methods for this interface. The interface inherits the methods for the IUnknown and IDispatchinterfaces.

The following table shows the methods for the IDispatch interface.

Method Description

IDispatch::GetIDsOfNames

Maps a single member name and an optional set of parameter names to a corresponding set of integer dispatch identifiers (DISPIDs).

These identifiers can then be used on subsequent calls to IDispatch::Invoke.

IDispatch::GetTypeInfo

Retrieves the type information for an object.

IDispatch::GetTypeInfoCount

Retrieves the number of type information interfaces provided by an object, either zero (0) or 1.

IDispatch::Invoke

Provides access to properties and methods exposed by an object.

The following table shows methods for the ICcServiceCB interface.

Method Description

ICcServiceCB::OnProgressNotify

Provides the status of the current action to the clients.

ICcServiceCB::OnStatusChangeNotify

Notifies clients whenever there is a change in service status, and if the status change has associated data.
