Возвращает итератор, -- элемент const.

const_iterator cend( ) const;

Возвращаемое значение

Итератор, -- элемент.Если map Class пусто, то map::cend() == map::begin().

Заметки

cend используется для проверки достиг конца map ли итератор.

Значение, возвращаемое cend не должно быть разыменованно.
