More New DirectAccess and Remote Access Documentation for Windows Server 2016
In two posts from the past couple of months, 5 New DirectAccess Documents for Windows Server 2016 and DirectAccess Test Lab Guides for Windows Server 2016, the publication of new DirectAccess docs for Windows Server 2016 was announced.
This post continues the DirectAccess documentation publication trend with several new topics and guides now live on the Web:
DirectAccess Capacity Planning. Windows Server 2016 is still in Technical Preview, so instead this document provides a report on Windows Server 2012 DirectAccess server performance that allows you to plan your DirectAccess infrastructure.
DirectAccess Offline Domain Join. This guide explains the steps you need to perform an offline domain join with DirectAccess. During an offline domain join, a computer is configured to join a domain without physical or VPN connection.
Troubleshooting DirectAccess. This topic provides information on how to resolve common issues with DirectAccess deployments.
Add DirectAccess to an Existing Remote Access (VPN) Deployment. In this scenario, after already deploying VPN, you can add DirectAccess functionality to the VPN server that is running Windows Server® 2016 Technical Preview, Windows Server® 2012 R2, or Windows Server® 2012.
The following Remote Access documentation is now live on the Web too. You can use these documents to configure and manage Remote Access servers that are DirectAccess servers, VPN servers, or both DirectAccess and VPN servers:
Deploy Remote Access in an Enterprise. This topic provides an introduction to the DirectAccess scenario for the Enterprise. Remote Access includes a number of enterprise features, including deploying multiple Remote Access servers in a cluster load balanced with Windows Network Load Balancing (NLB) or an external load balancer, setting up a multisite deployment with Remote Access servers situated in dispersed geographical locations, and deploying DirectAccess with two-factor client authentication using a one-time password (OTP).
Manage Remote Access. The DirectAccess Remote Client Management deployment scenario uses DirectAccess to maintain clients over the Internet. This group of topics explain the scenario, including its phases, roles, features, and links to additional resources.
