I successfully installed and sycn’d my Windows Mobile 2005 phone with RC-2 and Windows Mobile Device Center Beta 3 a few days ago but now it’s stopped working. I’ve tried numerous times to uninstall then reinstall the driver and software but WMDC doesn’t think my phone is connected. In fact, Vista no longer sees my phone at all; the phone’s memory card no longer appears in “Computer”. What could be preventing Vista seeing my phone? The only change I can think I’ve made to the OS is installing OneCare live. JamesAnonymous

I just un-installed Live OneCare and that fixed the problem. So for what ever reason OneCare prevented Vista RC-2 from "seeing" my phone; either durng a sync or as a device in "Computer". JamesAnonymous

It's the OneCare firewall that's preventing Syncing from working. I found a list of ports, somewhere on the web, that I poked holes for in the firewall and it's working for me, now. Take a look at this thread for instructions: http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=805046&SiteID=2Anonymous

I have the same problem here, and it's OneCare for me too.
