I'm back from paternity leave

Just when you think you are settling into a job, they encourage you to take a month off. Sorry to have not posted anything in October.  It was a great time for me to connect with my daughter - and wow, she is amazing. She's not speaking yet - but I think I can tell the difference now between her hungry and tired cries. So, maybe she has a lexicon size of "2"? (Although she can perceive a whole lot more) I think by her 1st birthday I'll have to get her a head-mounted microphone so I can record her first words. Another method researchers use is to sew a lapel mic into a bib or sweater, and attaching any components to her back. Just might work. Still, I'd have to convince my wife. Unless I'm babysitting, of course.
