Microsoft Watch(ed)
I've been reading Microsoft Watch for a while (just out of curiosity mainly) but today was the day I unsubscribed from their RSS feed. Not only did I get bombarded today with loads of posts that were republished, but going through them I noticed a pattern. The information they were providing was out of date and didn't give any real insight into the products they were talking about.
The comments that readers have been submitting to two of the most recent posts say it all:
The second post really got me mad. This guy had written a review dated 1st November based on RC1 code - and then slated the product. Readers "in the know" - including many who commented - will appreciate that RC1 was released many months ago and after releasing RC2 and nearing RTM it's hardly fair to write a review like this.
Oh well - I vote with my mouse:

That WMP 11 review was an absolute joke! I didn't even bother reading the vista post after that. I too have cast my mouse-vote James.Anonymous

I've been thinking the same thing lately! There has been no original content on that site since Mary Jo Foley left the company to start her blog at Zdnet.com. I'd encourage you to subscribe to her new blog over there - http://blogs.zdnet.com/microsoft/ I was actually the first commenter on the article they posted about Vista and I was equally put out with them...
