EC Vista Christmas List

I bit my tongue when I heard about the security inquiry that the EC were doing on Vista, but today I read in the FT this morning that they are now looking into Encryption and Handwriting recognition too.

So I'm goint to start a letter to Father Christmas (better know as Santa to my American readers) which will I'll add to as we get closer to the holiday period.  So here, we go:

 

Dear Father Christmas,

I've been a really good boy this year, and I only really want one thing in my stocking for Christmas (apart from a Zune of course) - a copy of Windows Vista. I'm especially looking forward to the following features:

  • Security - because when I connect to the internet I don't want my machine attacked by hackers
  • Encryption - so that if I lose my laptop someone else can't discover my personal details
  • Handwriting Recognition - I want to be able to use the new tablet pc functionality and take advantage of the technology that Microsoft invented - and I've seen that the results are stunning.
