One Down, One To Go at TechEd 2008

I am down in Orlando, FL at TechEd 2008 and I am sitting in the Speaker Room preparing for my next breakout session  on creating custom components, which is at 4.30pm today. I came down to the conference center early this morning to help Tom answer questions at his Introduction to Windows XP Embedded session I delivered my first presentation yesterday on Building Small and Secure Devices right after Ilya gave an overview of the new Windows Embedded Standard product (to good reviews). We have had about 30 people on average attending the Embedded Windows sessions.

As I was preparing I was reviewing the tools used to help with componentization (namely Process Monitor, Registry Monitor and File Monitor) and noticed that the SysInternal tools are now available live - see this article for full details. Good to see!

Hopefully everything will go smoothly today so I can relax by the pool at 6pm! If you are attending TechEd swing by the Windows Embedded booth tomorrow or Friday afternoon and introduce yourself - I would love to meet some new faces interested in learning more about our product.
