Anup's Bio

My name is Anup Vasudeva Rao. Ever since I wanted to pursue a software career, Microsoft has been my dream company. It always made me utter “Wow Microsoft!” whenever somebody spoke about their cousin or uncle in Microsoft.

So it has been a fascinating journey for me from sitting wide-eyed and dreaming, to seeing the sources and working on the core layers of the Windows embedded OS. Supporting me all the way is my wife Shubha, my parents and my family.

I am from Bangalore, India. Prior to Microsoft, I was working on development of imaging software and later automotive software. I am an Electronics and Communications engineer. I am passionate about software development and in my spare time, I develop useful tools, GUI libraries etc. When I am not doing this, I am pursuing my other simple hobbies - watching cricket, watching movies and travelling (more specifically - watching the batting of Vivian Richards, Brian Lara and Sachin Tendulkar, watching Kannada movies that have a happy ending and travelling).
