Announcing Compatibility Certification of SQL Server 2012 with Dynamics AX 2012

Dynamics AX Sustained Engineering is proud to announce the following compatibility between the released versions of Dynamics AX and SQL Server 2012 :

Customers and Partners will need to apply KB2680186 for compatibility.

The System requirements of Dynamics AX 2012 are in the process of being updated on Customer Source and Partner Source.

    Hi Sridhar, as it's written in the article below try intalling these compenents first: 1  - Microsoft® System CLR Types for SQL Server® 2008 R2 (required package for SMO) 2  - Microsoft® SQL Server® 2008 R2 Shared Management Objects (SMO) blogs.msdn.com/.../unable-to-deploy-ax-2012-reporting-extensions-on-sql-server-2012-reporting-server.aspx Regards, James

    I have environments with AX 2012 Feature Pack CU3 and AX 2012 R2. Is the SQL 2012 compatibility hotfix 2680186 still necessary for those environments? Whu hasn't the hotfix been included in the list of hotfixes for recent rollups?
