Visual Studio 2008 Beta 2 has been released
Hot off the press.
We just released Beta 2 of Visual Studio 2008. Soma has all the details. Check the Channel9 Video too.
This is a very cool product - I've been learning about some of the new features this week. I'll be doing a user group tour in the next few months to help get the message out about why this is a very cool release that you'll want to move to from VS2005.
If you are going to Tech Ed we will have DVD's of Visual Studio 2008 Beta 2 available to give out there, so dont break your download limit unless you really, really want to. (If you are an early adopter and do download it, post a comment to this entry :-))

TechEd will be far away from Mexico City, so it's download time for me :) Don't really know the difference between Standard and Professional, but one being 700MB versus 3GB, I thought it wise to go the whole way.Anonymous

Hi Darryl, will the VS Express products get updated with the new VS2008 code? I'm only a part-time coder so was wondering if there's a roadmap for these?Anonymous

Stuart, you can find the download links for the express editions at http://blogs.msdn.com/danielfe/archive/2007/07/26/visual-studio-express-beta-2-available-for-download.aspx. I'm finding out about other changes in the Express SKU's and will put up another blog post about that later.Anonymous
