Most Aust bosses spy on work colleagues say lecturer

About 80 per cent of Australian bosses used high tech spy equipment to keep tabs on their staff's emails, phone calls and internet usage, a workplace surveillance expert said on Thursday.

I've never understood this whole concept about blaming technology tools for productivity problems. Since joining Microsoft I've understood that the best way to take care of this is to goal and incent staff on OUTCOMES.

  I think the response to access depends entirely on the business involved, I spent a couple of years working in the Computer Games industry and the secrecy there is shocking, the level of monitoring that goes on at an executive level is astounding.
