This is an excellent paper! A similar effort might be undertaken for Cognos reports, cubes, etc. Having implemented Cognos for over ten years, I would be very interested in contributing to such an effort. Much of my current practice revolves around converting Cognos and other previously dominant BI solutions to the Microsoft integrated solution (MSSQL Server, Analysis Services, Integration Services and Reporting Services).
