New AX R3 Project E-Learning Courses

As you probably know, we recently released Dynamics AX 2012 R3 with new capabilities for project-focused businesses. If you are reading this blog, you have probably gone through the existing Project Management and Accounting courses for Dynamics AX 2012 R2 (80316, 80317, and 80311). As we looked at the effort required to update the existing courses to cover the changes and enhancements in R3, we decided to take another approach. We took all of the content from the courses and built out two new E-learning courses.

You will find these courses on the new Microsoft Dynamics learning platform. To access this site select "E-learning" from the "Readiness & Training" menu on CustomerSource / PartnerSource. This will take you to the following page:

From there, search for 80643 and select "Project Management and Accounting - Basic in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3". The player will then load and the course will begin.

In addition to videos with the course content and audio, you can also try out the concepts that you learned using a simulated environment (no VM required).

You can also test your knowledge with a quiz at the end of each module.

After you get through the basic course, you can try 80644, "Project Management and Accounting - Advanced in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3". I hope that these courses will help you better understand the capabilities of the latest release. If you have any feedback please let me know!

Many thanks for sharing.  I've been unable to access the training site.  What version of IE is required?  I’m using IE10 but it doesn’t work for me (either with or without the Compatibility mode).  What happens is that the wording “Loading” appears with a dot in the center screen…. But then it iterates this over and over… and seems to get caught in a loop…

Rudy, can you try accessing the site directly: itacademy.microsoft.com Can you try an InPrivate session to make sure the federation is working? I am running IE11 but I also got it working in Chrome.
