Dirquota autoquota list

Applies To: Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012

Lists currently configured auto apply quotas. If used without parameters, the dirquota autoquota list command displays all auto apply quotas configured on the computer.

Note

An auto apply quota is assigned to a parent volume or folder. To list the quotas that have been generated automatically in subfolders of an auto apply quota path, use the Dirquota quota list command.

Note

To use this command, you must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group.

For examples of how to use this command, see Examples.

Syntax

dirquota autoquota list [/path:<Path>] [/type:{hard | soft}]
   [/sourcetemplate:<TemplateName>] [/templatematch:{yes | no}]
   [/show-recycled] [/list-notifications] [/remote:<ComputerName>]

Parameters

Parameter

Description

/path:<Path>

Lists auto apply quotas configured on path Path. You can use the following wildcard characters:

  • \. — the folder specified by Path

  • \* — all immediate subfolders of Path

  • \... — all recursive subfolders of Path

/type:{hard | soft}

Lists only auto apply quotas that have either a hard storage limit (preventing users from saving files when the limit is reached) or a soft storage limit.

/sourcetemplate:<TemplateName>

Lists only auto apply quotas that are derived from the quota template TemplateName. If the template name contains a space, enclose the name in quotation marks.

/templatematch:{yes | no}

Lists only auto apply quotas that either match (yes) or do not match (no) an existing quota template.

Note

An auto apply quota may not match an existing quota template if the quota template that was used to create the auto apply quota was modified, and the change was not applied to all quotas that were derived from that template.

/show-recycled

Includes auto apply quotas for folders in the Recycle Bin.

/list-notifications

Includes notification details for each auto apply quota.

/remote:<ComputerName>

Performs the operation on the remote computer ComputerName.

Remarks

  • The shortest sequence of characters that uniquely identifies a parameter can be used as an abbreviation. For example, the following two commands are equivalent:

    dirquota au l /sh
    dirquota autoquota list /show-recycled

  • To perform operations on a remote computer by using the **/remote:**ComputerName parameter:

    • You must be logged on with a domain account that is a member of the Administrators group on both the local computer and the remote computer.

    • The remote computer must be running Windows Server 2008, and File Server Resource Manager must be installed.

    • The Remote File Server Resource Manager Management exception on the remote computer must be enabled. You enable this exception by using Windows Firewall in Control Panel.

Examples

  • To list all auto apply quotas configured on the local computer, type:

    dirquota autoquota list

  • To list all auto apply quotas configured on volume D, type:

    dirquota autoquota list /path:d\...

  • To list all auto apply quotas configured in subfolders of D:\scratch that do not match any existing quota templates, type:

    dirquota autoquota list /path:d:\scratch\... /templatematch:no

  • To list all auto apply quotas on the remote computer FILESERVER1, type:

    dirquota autoquota list /remote:fileserver1
