View information about a device driver

To view information about a device driver
Open Device Manager to view information about a device driver.
Double-click the type of device you want to view.
Right-click the specific device you want, and then click Properties.
On the Driver tab, click Driver Details.

To open Device Manager, click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, double-click Computer Management, and then click Device Manager.
This information can also help you determine the file version of the device driver.
An icon appears next to device drivers that are digitally signed. For more information on digitally signed drivers, see "Driver Signing for Windows" in Related Topics.
