Generic Script resource type

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

Generic Script resource type

You use the Generic Script resource type to manage Windows Server 2003 family operating system scripts as cluster resources. Similar to the Generic Application resource type, the Generic Script resource type provides only the most basic functionality. If the script is running, it is presumed to be online. For more information on creating a generic script using Windows Script Host, see the Microsoft Platform Software Development Kit (SDK). To provide greater functionality, you can define a custom resource type. For more information on how to create a custom resource type, see the Microsoft Platform Software Development Kit (SDK).
