Rename a project file
To rename a project file
Under Files in the Project panel, do one of the following:
Right-click the item that you want to rename, click Rename, and then type the new name.
Click the name of the item you want to rename, single-click the name again to make the name editable, and then type in the new name.
Note
If the file is an asset, such as an image or video clip, it might inadvertently be inserted into the artboard if you use this option (single-clicking the name).
Warning
Renaming files might cause errors such as "Could not find file". To fix this, make the name change everywhere that the file is referenced. Also, it is not possible to change file name extensions (such as .xaml) in the Project panel because changing file name extensions can lead to application errors.
