Using the Dimension Wizard to Define a New Dimension

New: 14 April 2006

Use the Dimension Wizard in Business Intelligence Development Studio to quickly and easily create a dimension in Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services (SSAS). The Dimension Wizard guides you through the steps to specify the structure of a dimension. You can use the Dimension Wizard to create a standard dimension or a server time dimension.

Note

You can also use the Cube Wizard to quickly create all the dimensions in a cube at the same time that you create the cube. For more information about how to use the Cube Wizard, see Using the Cube Wizard to Define a Cube, Dimensions, Hierarchies and Attributes.
